I'll be heading for the state land in about an hour to try out my latest castings, I'm very hopeful about these slugs for sure
That is the o-ring from just inside the barrel, right? Mine did the same thing when it blew up my magazine - o-ring got blown out of the end of the barrel onto the bolt when the bolt wasn't all the way secure on firing.

Bob they shoot really great, I believe these slugs are probably flying over 1000fps at the muzzle, I really need to get over to my brothers place and put it over the chrony.I also plastered a chipmunk on the way back to my truck . . . might put it in the hunting gate . . . VERY graphic!!!
According to Airgun Depot...NO
I've only bought one tin of polymags in my life and that was about 5 years ago for my Prod, I got the shorts and still have a bunch left. I'm not really a fan of them especially when using a Big bore because on my AEA357 I doubt very much if polymags would be any better than the last HP slugs that I shot with it.
I received my NSA samples today. I did some 5 shot strings over the chrony at 37 yards to also see how accuracy is with these. So far, the Hatsan Vortex pellets are the most accurate! Here are the Chrony numbers for the weights I got:Weight Avg FPS FPE43.80 950.40 87.8747.50 922.20 89.7249.50 899.20 88.8954.50 888.20 95.4961.50 825.80 93.15Below is the target. I started in the center with the 43.8 grain, then went to the bottom left with the 47.5 gr, bottom right is 49.5 gr (the worst accuracy), top right is the 54.5 gr, and top left is the 61.5 gr. I feel the two heaviest gave the best accuracy, and the 54.5 produced the most energy!
Dan the best thing about HP slugs is the fact they retain more speed and energy the further out you get with them, in my opinion that's a must when you're making a 50 yard shot. My accuracy with these is plenty good at 50 yards, especially for hunting. Another nice thing about the HP slugs is once they get to where they're going they'll dump energy one heck of a lot better than pellets will.

I have to try to cast them with the short pin with about zero hollow point , those if they are as accurate will be much better for big game , flat nose are just that much better than hollow points for big game , they can smash threw / hydraulic there way threw bone much better ,and a more accurate wound channel , just ask Roach Creek Charlie who has killed 52 elk , all of our .45 casted stuff for the XP ranger .45 is flat nose for just that reason other than round ball ...
