Shooter plinker, How I started. Competitive shooter? Club shooter, did till the local club had issues with where the "stray" pellets went Shooter / collector / modifier, where I am ATM, and add Hunter/ Pester, the bulk of my airgun collection is geared for.
I'm a plinker for the most part. I find paper target shooting and the quest for tight groupings, too tedious. I just lack the patience and attention span. And because of this quality, or lack there of, I don't care for modifications. I'll wrench when I have to, but I'm typically not happy doing so.Ironically, now that I'm fully back into the rc hobby again, wrenching is what I've been doing a lot! But, I do feel that forcing myself to slow down and setting out to fully complete a task is a good mental discipline.
Sounds like a very nice home range.

What kind of airguns do you have, young sir?
I've been a competitive shooter for almost 50 years. I take my paper punching pretty seriously even though I'm now getting pretty old and shaky with bad eyesight. But I still practice shooting pretty much every day, sometimes a couple times a day. Air pistols make it easier to practice no matter what the weather conditions or time of day/night. Air pistols started out as just practice for PBs but now I enjoy shooting air more than anything else. They are just so convenient all the time. I thought I might enjoy plinking in my back yard and hung up some plinker targets but I just can't find much pleasure in it. I'm too intent on precision shooting and don't want anything to distract me from my quest for a better score. I don't shoot animals unless they mess with my garden. Then I relentlessly hunt them down, nothing personal though. I don't usually modify guns unless the trigger is crappy. Don't care about power levels in anything I own. I've just started getting interested in competing with air rifles at the club level but not sure if I want to take the practice time away from air pistols.
Professional sweetgum ball sniper and backyard plinker with a limited amount of hunting and pest control. I've got about 75 yards on my range at home.
