Homemade Crown Saver used to pull patches through a barrel. I needed tubing that would fit inside a .177 barrel. I ordered 1/16" ID x 1/8" OD pure Silicone tubing from Cold & Colder for $0.43 ft.
I used one of the twisted nylon cords that are inside paracord for the loop inside the tubing. I used a pull rope for a handle but I plan on making some wooden handles out of dowels.
I used 50# SpiderWire to pull the loop of nylon cord through. I pushed the Spiderwire through the tubing and tied the loop of nylon cord to it and pulled the loop back through the tubing.
The 12' of tubing plus shipping totaled $9.06. I figure at 28" each I can make 5 of these. So using what I have on hand to complete all five I will have $1.82 in each one.
