I would hope so I've used the Weihrauch slip on model on my Hw30s and Hw50. It doesn't appreciably diminish the noise. Even in an enclosed basement. I was told there's better moderators. I posted the decibel differences here, probably two years ago. For what the Donny models cost they better do a better job.
DM, those threads are 1/2 by 20,
Every 1/2 x20unf thread moderator I have purchased has worked on every gun with that thread! Go to Chambers site all of their HW barrels accept the 97 have this thread! IIRC this is the standard thread pitch for Air guns! other then the 97 type thread! this thread pattern is what separates air guns from fire arms!
1/2x28 is a fire arm thread for the .22cal rifles, 5/8 x24 is a U.S. standard for 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor bores!
Not true YOGI. I have been out shooting my HW98 .177cal today, I took it apart to try to make the internals a lot quieter as they should be and it still has the same sound! its detuned and stroked!!!!! it shoots the same velocity as my HW35 with the same pellet, the only difference is my 35 has a can on it and has a 10.5in barrel! My 35 is way more quiet then my 98!!!! no comparison! and it has a way bigger spring in the power plant and their tuned the same way!!! so if you guy's think a tuned gun without a can is quiet your wrong!! a tuned gun with a can truly is a lot more quiet!

Mark,I agree cans do quiet down springers. I have more cans than guns. It is just they do not quiet them down as much as they do on a PCP. There the difference in remarkable. Also I stand by my comment than cans effectiveness is more pronounced down range that at the shooter's ear.-Y
I wonder if a Donny model would be better then the factory weihrauch?
Does you FP have the threads under the factory muzzle break? like Dave's gun?
NO! Get an HW50S, if you can find one, and then modify/scope it to your heart's delight. I have three .177 cal. HW50S' and they all have different sights. The oldest one does have a muzzle brake. I enjoy 'em, each and every one.Cheers!
