i did see on yt that a guy made a custom wood stock for the gauntlet. price he wants seemed way to steep to me. then again i make electric guitars. so making one my self is better. the thought has crossed my mind i time or two. just seems there should be a way to shed some of the excessive weight of the rig some how. that and being able to really customize the fit to the idividual liking, would have major benefits. i don't like how wobbly the cheek comb was maxed all the way up for me. so i left it locked all the way down and got some kydex and formed a new comb attached with super heavy duty outdoor velcro. now my holds are customized just to me and identical everytime i pull in, so sight picture and alignment is almost always the same.
