Well, I struggled tonight. Started shooting after 10:00 pm east cost time on Oct 7th. Took me over seven targets to finally get one under an inch. I was almost about to give up and just after midnight I nailed a 3/4" group on the 7th target. The closest I had to it earlier was 1.063" and several floating around 1.25".
Jimmy Fussell
FX Boss .30
Sightron SIII 10-50x60 on 30 power
0.30 cal 44.75 gr JSB

Took lots of pics.

And just for giggles this is some of the groups I got before the one I finally entered.

Marty
My Buddy Chan from Virginia, shot this TEN shot group yesterday indoors at 100 yds. Wouldn't that qualify him for NUAH membership and at "Master" level on top of that?
Trying to get him to join in the monthly competitions.
He shot this with his .22 Taipan. I've seen him shoot 3 grapes in a row at 100 yds outdoors at my house last year with the same gun.
Thanks

Yes it would but he needs to be a member here and adhere to the NUAH Club rules. Nice group BTW.
-
Thanks Marty, I'll pass it on.

I would have loved to have heard the gallery's comments of amazement when he shot that group inside. Taipan's rule, and HE can SHOOT!

Ray, yes Taipan's are mighty fine little pups and Chan can shoot! Would have loved to been there myself.
Mr Holiday, thanks man. I'm out there again tonight with my FX500. But really struggling with it? Must be some wind I'm not seeing? Getting 2" groups whether it's 5 shots or 10 shots?
-
Got the .25 cal FX500 out tonight. Shot lots and lots of 2" groups? This is the best I could manage.

Good Shooting JB. That Gauntlet is a Beast!
-
Thank you...so fun to shoot....just got the Shoebox last night and it is so nice not to have to Pump to Shoot....it was really cutting back on my shooting.....it took me 4 cards to get that scored card all in about 20 mins...using my pump that was not possible at all LOL
Haj did the work himself and it is a different rifle than what came in the box that is for sure!
-
Haj is the man when it comes to the Gauntlet. Congrats on the Shoebox. I know I would hardly shoot at all if I had to hand pump!
That's awesome that it only took you 4 tries to get that score. We can flat go through some paper with these targets trying to get a good score. Took me more tries than that with both my FX.
I have gone out and got a good score on the first or second try, but that's definitely not the norm. Probably closer to 5 or 6 tries on average.

Ouch.....with the shoebox compressor working like a charm I decided to give the ASPEN a go......Scope makes it hard compared to my 34x on the Gauntlet...I have to walk out and be surprised on where I am hitting LOL
It is fun but once I get the .30 Cal Raptor EZ with new scope I will move the x34 power scope to the Aspen and try again. With hold overs confirmed I can do better!
-
Awesome JB. Doing that on 9 power!
Glad to hear you're getting a .30 Raptor, because I know you'll share your experience with us.
Look forward to your posts!

Thanks for keeping up with it Marty. Great shooting guys, maybe we can get more shooters for #8 the last match of the year.
-
Thank you Marty
I hope to get the 30 raptor by the close so I will try the 3 different cal guns if that happens
I have the shoebox now so I am going to do my best to best somebody so yes I will need some new competitors lol
-
Man, I look forward to you getting that Raptor JB. I bet she''ll do sub inch with no problems.
I might try to get my .22 Cricket in the mix as well. I'm gonna tune it down a little first and just stick to the 18gr. No need for the power when I got the Boss and the FX500 for that.
