Post by: Nomadic Pirate on September 08, 2018, 04:50:11 AM
Today I took my Model 70 for a combined hunt,

I had a bait for mongoose

I also dumped a bunch of papayas at the exit of the mountain trail that hogs use to come down to the plantation.

Spent 5 hors in my blind and no porkers come, also mongoose hunting was very slow, only 5 came to the bait.

Excellent shooting Manny. Very NICE rifle.  I like how you have your brush-blind set up.   Good concealment with a well thought out, field of fire & kill zone.

Best Wishes - Tom

Manny you are one of the very patient ones. I guess if it were fishing you would go home with a nice stringer of whatever was the catch of the day . Nice shooting and as usual nothing but DRT for your shots.

So this morning, my dogs are baying like dang coon hounds and creating a ruckus for the neighbors and the missuse... so the long of it is, the missuse spotted a mongoose creating the impetus for a three dog cacophony... just not of the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm6qw_yeo6o (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dm6qw_yeo6o)

So the mission: 1 pellet 1 mongoose

Tho not a .357, I'm thinking that a Hatsan .30 break-action would be enough to quiet other detractors of big bore springers... and then again...

So... we launch... :D
