Sacramento Valley Field Target Match Results - June 14, 2015

Well what started out as an innocent return to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Ione, CA turned into one of the most difficult matches we have had in a long time. While the wind was probably varying between 5 and 10mph most of the match, it was for some unknown reason almost unreadable. It wasn't just the long shots that were a problem, it was all the shots. This was a match that showed how much more difficult it is to shoot when you can't see your pellet strikes on the face plates. Scott our diabolical target painter touched up the targets before the June match and made sure they were difficult to read.
The 50 shot match consisted of 6 offhand shots and 44 free style shots.I have never seen so many score cards with more than one occurrence of zero hits on a lane. We were all humbled a bit by the conditions but as usual the top shooters just seem to find a way to get the job done. The only salvation for the day was we had some great grilled sausage sandwiches for lunch after the match.
I'd like to thank all the shooters who came out early and help set up and those that stayed late and helped tear down. You help is always appreciated.
Below are the results for the 50 shot match

Who set that darn course
Not a KZ but 1 bigger than 1 1/2" on knock downs and one 2" bell !
That left 48 shots to be had at what looked like a lot of even sub 1" lane to lane.
That's just evil !! ... snicker snicker snicker
Yours truly.
diabolical target painter/setter.
