i use Mac1's secret sauce ... but i'd use ATF rather than 30W ND or oil . IIRC i think there's concern about build up or degradation of the pump head/o-rings with regular oil and synthetics .
Hello, could not find any info on the reason to only use Non-Detergent Motor Oil. I'm talking about using the oil on parts like the pump arm or the bolt on say the 13xx or 22xx. I was thinking of using a full synthetic motor oil. But they are all Detergent oil, it would seem to me they would do a better then Pellgunoil. I have read that that is just Trany Fluid. Thanks.
I did a lot of research in the past because I did not like paying big bucks for a tiny tube of oil. I ended up with a quart of ND30, a lifetime supply for less than three bucks. It's the same thing I used to oil my BB guns more than fifty years ago.
thank's guys , that's why i use secret sauce , i know %100 i can't go wrong with it .
I use air compressor oil. http://www.harborfreight.com/32-fl-oz-compressor-oil-68097.html
The ND oil is pure mineral oil with no additives. If you think the 30W is too thick, you can probably find some 20W. I have used the "secret sauce" myself and it works very well. The vendor that sells it is highly reputable and you can't go wrong by using it. Overall, I think you should use whatever makes you comfortable.
If all you want is to lube pivot points, 3-N-1 Oil would be just fine.
