Need help with Buckley trigger

Hey guys I'm trying to follow Buckley's book, the Modern Pneumatic Airgun vol 2. Im to the part were the trigger needs adjusting. At times i can get it to strike the valve stem 10-15 times in a row, then the striker jams/locks up on the sear? Other times after reassembling it it will only fire a few times before jamming. I've been fiddling with it a bit but not really sure what I'm catching on, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Pat

Not familiar with the double sear thing but I would check to make sure your hammer doesnt have any play (i.e. is it the exact size of the tube?) Also not familiar with Buckleys design cause I tried to get a book but very hard to. Anyway your sear engagement is on 2 points because it looks like the sear, which is square hits the round cut out made by the end mill probably. I cant see it but make sure your sear is properly shaped so it clears the hammer. Another thing I dont see is how the hammer aligns in the same spot. I usually have a hammer that does that. Crosman has a pin sticking up. Make sure whatever alligns the hammer doesnt 1. Hang up, 2. Does it properly. Also, what metal/alloy are you using for your hammer. Polish that hammer up without reducing the diameter and it will really help. Another big issue that I see is your spring is not straight. It doesnt have to be if you have a spring guide. Make sure it is compressing straight.
