That extra 8" of barrel sure makes a difference! I'm not seeing 1000 FPS from any of the pellets or slugs I've tested thus far, not even the lighter 43.8 grain NSA Slugs, which average 950 FPS. The 48.6 grain Vortex are averaging 975 FPS, after adding spacers, up from 942 FPS before, but still not at 1000 FPS. I wonder if it's because the NSA slugs are .300 not .303?I have some 44.5 and 50.15 grain JSB's on the way, so it will be interested to see how they do.

Yes, I pulled the spring and compared it to the extra that shipped with the rifle and the spring that was in it was the stiffer spring.
Jared I've got my Shoebox F10 set for about 4200psi when it shuts off and I'm thinking that next time I get out with mine I'm going to top my .357 off to probably about 3800psi from the tank that I'm working from right now. The next slugs that I'll be trying from mine with be the flat nose NOE 359-88-RF, I haven't checked the diameter of them but if they're .359 I'll definitely size them down to .357 for sure. If they measure .358 I'll go ahead and shoot them as is. They're actually about 89.5 grain casting with the pure lead from Rotometals.
