I sent my new to me HW95L to Ron a.k.a. Bayman for a shooting low problem He identified the problem and fixed it.He kept me well-informed through the whole process explaining what he was doing why he was doing it and sent pictures and emails Plus we talked on the phone numerous times...He did all of this for chump change. My gun is shooting like it should now. I can just tell when I’m talking to somebody that knows what they’re really doing and takes pride in their work and Ron is one of those guys. I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to anybody else needing some repair work done.Thx again Ron.
Barrel droop, high ring mounts and a scope that didn’t have the adjustment to compensate for it.He can chime in here I f get this wrong but basically he optically centered the scope and then bent the barrel to match the scope. Now is one full rotation up to be dead on at 20 yards Where before I was turned all the way up maxed out on my scope and was still shooting like about 4 to 6 inches low
Setting up the scope . I'm just getting into air rifle shooting after many years of CF benchrest shooting . How I set up my scopes , first I would center my adjustments in both horizontal and vertical by counting the clicks , running the windage to one end until you run out of adjustments , then count the clicks going in the opposite direction , half that amount is your center , do the same with elevation. . Your scope crosshairs are centered to the scope . Then from that point adjusting your mounts by shims if necessary to get you into the ball park and fine tune with your scope settings. You can look into lapping your scope rings will cut down on your scope moving out of adjustment. Over tightening your rings can damage your scope so check your torque settings. Look into the Wheeler torque wrench , reasonable and the work well for scope mount , rings and action bolt settings ( stock to rifle action). I'm going through the hurricane Henri now , so sorry for being so long winded , is that a play on words . Be Well.Chris
