Dan, I have three Crosman break barrels, one springer, one NP and one NP2 and those Winchester domes are the most accurate pellet in all three. They also shoot pretty well in my Hatsan 95 but if I’m remembering correctly, the 7.9 CPHP shoot a little better in the 95. I need to get it out and see.
How did you make out with the tooth? Been doing any shooting yet? Do I remember you saying you made a shim for your O ring with plastic? I'm very curious about how to make a shim. My O ring is sitting more flush then I'd like. I have only ever changed the O ring once because it was flush when the gun was new. I'm going to order parts for mine from Vortex, some O rings a piston seal and a spring. I'm not going to replace the spring or piston seal right now but the parts are good to have on hand just in case. Because everything is so slow with shipping and the mail, if I can shim this it would buy a few weeks time until I can get O rings. I saw someone mention the Winchester RN 9.7 GRS. I've shot those also but in my bore the skirts fit loose where the Crosman 10.5 GRS fit my bore very snug. Let me know how the Air Hawk project is going.Quote from: Lt. Dan on April 27, 2020, 02:29:53 PMThanks for the suggestions, I do order from Crosman. I usually get 3 or 4 boxes of the 10.5gr Domed when I order. I have about 3k left I think from my last order. Our two have some similarities but also some differences. Mine is NOT hold sensitive, which surprised me, I have a fully tuned XS-25 in .22 cal (see signature) and it's definitely hold sensitive. Mine was very twangy the first few hundred pellets but has calmed. Just for giggles I adjusted the trigger some but then moved it back to where it was when it came. I'm super pleased with the trigger. I too had an unusual number of detonations before it finally burned the oil out. I have some pellets ordered and they will arrive today or tomorrow but I'm also experiencing a delay right now in shooting. Tooth issues in a pandemic seriously not so good !!!!! I'm on day 4 after a bad abscessed tooth and the extraction of said demon. Last Monday I did some chrony test with 5 or 6 pellets, I have had time to type up the data but it is a 14.3 fp rifle. Shooting a lot I believe started or brought forward my abscess. Tuesday bad tooth ache, Wednesday saw dentist, then on Thursday extraction. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be back shooting.

Thanks for the info on the O rings. I live in the sticks so the closest Lowes to me is 35 miles away. I tried your shim trick and it's buying me time until I get some O rings. I used a very fine layer of silicone sealant applied with a tooth pick to hold it all in place closed the rifle up and let it set for 8 hours. It worked really well. I'm thinking about storing my rifle with the breech broke open just slightly but not cocked to stop the O ring from being compressed unless the barrel is in the closed position. I'm pretty certain thats why the O ring is flat when you take out of the box from the manufactuer, they have just sat so long compressed. I have ordered O rings, piston seal and a spring from Vortex just in case they are needed in the future. Are you sure your Winchester RDN pellets aren't 9.8 to 9.7 GRS. I reload my own ammunition and have weighed mine on a Grain Scale and mine weigh in at 9.7 to 9.8 Grains. I confirmed the grain scale with a 2nd grain scale. Sounds like if you getting quarter size groups at 20 to 25 yards the rifle is breaking in nicely. I think your going to find that once you have the right pellet you should be able to get that at 30 and 35 yards. Head shots on rabbits and woodchucks are very lethal at that range with the Crosman .177 Ultra Mag 10.5 GNS. Hunting beyond the 35 yard range, I just go to a rimfire .22 long rifle.
I went to Tractor Supply this morning and bought two tins (all they had) of the Winchester domes. Still made in Spain but a different color/labeling than my last bought Spanish made domes. Are they again a different weight from the last ? When it stops raining I will check to see if they shoot the same.New ones on the left.
I got 7 of these awhile back at my local TSC. 6 white label, 1 yellow. By all accounts when I got mine, the yellow labeled tins were the heavier, better shooting pellets for everyone. I've never weighed them, so can't honestly tell you if there's a difference or not. Also can't say how well either shoots, least not yet anyway, but here's a decent pic of the 2 tins.

Nice shooting with the Air Hawk.
I went to Tractor Supply's website and noticed that they had two tins of the Winchester Round Nose pellets, 7.65 gr made in Spain. Also that they have curbside service. So I add the two tins to my cart and checked out using PayPal. I got an email at 8:30 this morning saying my order was ready for pickup. $5.29 each. By 9:00 I was in their parking lot. I wanted to try these in my Ruger Air Hawk. Well I was impressed, so much that I went back on Tractor Supply's website but no luck, none within 70 miles. Shucks. At 15 yards, 10 shots ragged hole. (I know it doesn't look like 10 but it is.) And 4 shots at 25 yards on a 1.5" spinner. Look closely, that's under an inch with 1 cent pellets.
