i tell ya them starlings know when i'm going out!seems every time the mrs and i are leaving the house a starling lands on the feeder. today was no exception. i was checking all the doors and windows before heading out when i spot a robin at the feeder. then, a nasty starling swoops in and off goes the robin. i grab the 2400KT that sits in the bedroom and try to take aim, but the red dot sight is invisible in the bright snow. i bring out the 2260, load a H&N FTT and take careful aim bringing the crosshairs down as the feeder is a good 12 yards closer than the 2260's sight in. with a slow squeeze of the modded trigger the H&N hits its mark with a resounding thud and the yellow beak falls to the snow. the wife calls, CARL! we're already late, let's go! oops, once again a pic will have to wait until we return. but when we do, the bird is gone, and unlike the last one, there is no head and feathers left telling me something benefited from my sniping.
