Heat in the nineties today but the rain just came in and cooled stuff off. I spent the day shooting my Sears Roebuck model 1269300/Crosman 1400 while sitting under an oak tree in the shade. Many pellets went down range today as I tried to find the best for this gun. I finally returned to the CPHP’s as the best and was able to wring one 5/8” ten shot group out of it at 25 yards. Refining my pumping style found me another 15-20 FPS so I am very happy.

If you haven't yet, try some H&N FTT in that Sears/Crosman. The one I used to have liked those, and CPHP.
Got my QB78D out, installed the XP Tune kit, chrono’d: 715 FPS / 9 FPE with AA 7.87gr., 4.52mm & zero’d for 20 meters.
I may not be much for springers, but this little Slavia 618 is a fun gun and definitely has it's place.

Now the next question is shot count on new carts before drop off. That is another day. Thanks for keeping me in the know. I'm seriously considering this mod if it will work on a QB-78S. And if I want to risk it. Right now it shoots 1/2" groups at 30 yds no problem.
Gonna eat and go spend some time with the Air Speed.Maybe even knock back an ice cold Mini Bud Light or 2.
