I know pictures are required, however, you see one starling, you've seen them all.
I purchased this Prod about 6-8 months and it is a lazer, however it has up to yesterday only shot paper. This one is dressed up with a Rocker1 extended shroud and Crosman skeleton stock making it a sweet carbine that is fun to shoot.
I'm walking out to the shop and look up and see a starling on the wire. I turn around and go back to the house, grab the gun, expecting nothing as those buggers normally hightail it. I never look directly at them until I'm ready for the shot, so I never know if the bird has flown until after I'm in place.
This one didn't and let me walk the 100 feet to the shop. When I came out from the cover provided by the back side of the building, he was looking at me so I backed out of sight. This whole time I'm thinking I'm just talking the Prod for a walk. In my head I'm certain that when I poke back out, it will have flown off. I step back out and surprise, surprise, it was still there only this time facing the other direction.
My gun is sighted with a .5 kill zone, shooting Crosman 14.3 pellets at 700 fps and the 11 yard shot was very close to the first zero. No thinking involved with this one, just a matter of lining up the shot free hand and let it rip. Prod goes pftth, the pellet makes a loud wack, starling just drops with a thud as it hits the driveway and it is all done.
I was thinking that this must be a young starling, most adults do not stick around, turns out it is a full fledged specked yellow beaked adult. I chuck them out in the woods by our house, so this one has most likely become cat food by now.
First kill with the new gun, so something worth sharing.

Good job on that yellow beak Dave. I also have a prod & it is my back
yard gun. It is accurate with the same pellets & has taken GS, chippers
collard dove & starlings. I hope you get more.

Thank you Tim. As a matter of fact, just took two more. It would seem that a very naive group of starlings came for a visit. It's really a shame that the ones that fly off wise up so quickly

Congrats on your Prod's first kills and 3 more so quickly! I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of the Prod.

Here it is, Harry. The orange end was just my attempt to make it seem more like a toy. I live on an acre, yet have neighbors on 3 sides so I thought, hey make it look like air soft. Don't think its fooling anyone.
It is a fun gun and I wish I had bought one years ago. Late to the doesn't stop the fun.
