JSB has a factory lube on the pellets. Do you......
1.) Shoot them from the tin unlubed
2.) wash the pellets and use your favourite lube. What lube do ya use?
3.) Apply your favourite lube without washing the pellets

1. Yes, I do, some of the cleanest pellets available!
2. Yes, I do wash, IF using lube. Finish line Krytech.
3. Never.

In the Springers ... as they come from the tin.
In the PCP's ... washed and Krytech lubed.

Wash & lube with Krytech. They are pretty clean to begin with, but I prefer lubed with Krytech to cut down on barrel cleaning.

IMO there is no reason to wash and lube JSB pellets.
However, I have seen a couple 10.3gr tins with a single pellet that weighed 9.8gr, instead. JSB has no 9.8gr .177 pellet that I know of, and the two pellets in question (weighed several times to confirm) were fully formed (looked normal). 9.8gr clearly falls outside the normal range for a 10.1-10.5gr tin of pellets.
Soooooo... simply as a precaution against fliers, I have weighed and sorted several tins since. Not specifically to sort them, but to ensure there are no renegade pellets in the tin. The problem has not repeated for several tins since, but......... :-\

I shoot them right out of the tin in both my FTP and my Steyr. I used to lube them but saw no accuracy difference and while it did increase the amount of time between barrel cleaning it also created a few other issues, particularly with the steyr. It's a heck of a lot easier to not lube them as well. Although, if it was the difference between accuracy and inaccuracy, I would certainly still be doing it.
