Back Room / Re: Good morning! Are you up yet? What's your plans for today?« Last post by maraudinglizard on Today at 09:42:15 AM »Good morning, a balmy 64* here. Managed to get the sunchokes protected from the rabbits. One rabbit in one night just about leveled them the other day. Got the Honda generator running, it's the suitcase generator they made in the late 80's. It's only 650 watts, at the time I bought it I was using it to demo my art work in arts and crafts shows. So today on the list of getting it done, drag the rider out and get that up to speed, take the battery in and get a new one, then pick up the mail. Put that all back together and mow grass. Clean the mower shed out if time permits.

Scopes And Optics Gate / Re: Vortex 4-12x40 A/O« Last post by Back_Roads on Today at 08:57:01 AM » Vortex is a great Wisconsin based company, I feel they have not fully embraced the airgun community, as they do not offer much in a A/O objective, IMO that is a must for the power and distances we shoot at. Other wise they are a quality product.

Air Gun Gate / Re: Crosman 1377 vs Daisy 717« Last post by Brawny on Today at 08:29:44 AM »Very different pistols, I have both, what do you do with them? Thanks everyone for your input. Yeah, my main purpose is plinking with the occasional pest control so the 1377 wins at that. I don't target shoot so really have no need for the 717. Even though "both" is clearly the right answer, I think I'll let the 717 go to someone who wants to do work. 10
Air Gun Gate / Re: The New North Range (pic heavy)« Last post by avator on Today at 08:28:05 AM »Like they are sup-post to. [chuckling]They will but one of the things I need to do today is to add some weight to the bottom of the blind screens to help hold them down in the breeze. I have some rails from old shelving units. I'm going to roll them up a couple wraps on the bottom of the screens and zip tie them. I don't shoot in heavy winds so I can just roll them up to keep the wind from beating the snot out of them. We had screens just like this on the shooting deck I built on the bar. Those screens were on the north side of that deck and were more for privacy. These ones on the east and west sides are to block the sun but still let some air come through. |
