I got the Diana 52 from AOA when it was on sale a few weeks ago.$330ish delivered.the printed crony reading included was around 775fps with 14.66 FTTs, thats a little under 20 fpe.The gun looks like you would expect from a good german gun. Its pretty muzzle heavy. pretty easy to cock, sounds a little ...springy? if that says anything. although the side lever took a little getting used too. i found myself getting ready to break the barrel a couple times while shooting.I t06 trigger feels good , just a tiny( and i mean tiny) bit spongy. but very predictable. i did not adjust it at all.The gun is much louder than my hw95 but that is to be expected i guess. The shot cycle is longer than the hw95 and feels like a matchlock compared to the BSA gas ram i have . but still VERY shootable. i would say 2nd best airgun i have bought...so far. i does have a little bit of a BUZZ but not nearly an much as my hw95 had. i could live with this.My eyes dont see iron sights so well but i managed ok with these. I did have to crank them all the way to the right, not sure if thats me or the gun.tried shooting groups at 25 yards but with out a scope i didnt see the point. In general it seems to hit where i was aiming so i set up some plastic golfballs at 50 yards.from a bench with my palm up on a bag and the gun resting on my palm.no rear bag. FTT 14.66 pelletsi took aim at what appeared to be tiny white specks on top of a blurry front post and i'll be darned if i wasn't sending those golf balls flying 50% of the time. i dont know by how much i misses by the other half of the time.it sure made me smile when the balls went flying. This gun is gonna be nice when scoped.all in all i think its a winner and makes me want to thin out the herd some.i was thinking of mounting a hawk sport hd 2-7x32 like the one on the 95, that one has held up for a few thousand shots. any scope and mount advice are welcome.
do you know model #?
Well, shot today at 25 and 50 yards. A little breezy. But not much really. Looking through a scope (old Gamo 3-9x40 non AO) seemed to let my other senses notice more, the trigger that seemed slightly spongy at first felt very long today at the bench. And the buzz seems to be louder than I first noticed as well. At 25 yards I did ok. About 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch groups with ftt 5.53s. At 50 I was up to 3” groups easy. Although the scope was blurry at 50 yards. I still have to decide if it’s worth scoping this gun. With open sights I can hit aspirin at 8 yards or so .i was hoping it would do better at longer ranges but I still need much more practice with it.
