USN Helo Combat Support Squadrons. 1980-86. Then 90-92. Granada, Panama, Beirut Lebanon and Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Beirut was the worst. 258 dead Marines. A few were close friends. We were the first helos in there after the the truck bomb went off. That confirmed any opinions I had about Islam.P.S. Smackey, I think that our whirley gassed up on the Peleliu one time during DS. (Somebody wasn't watching the gas gauge). Actually we got sent out on another recon on the way back in and you guys were the closest fuel.
