I looked around and found no answer. So my question is, when putting the air rifle away for weeks or months at a time do you have muzzle up or down? I don't even know if it makes a difference. Thanks.
Only one place it makes a legitimate difference that I am aware of-nitro piston/gas ram guns... On those; you want the sealing end of the gas spring down; so that the oil in the cylinder migrates to the seal to keep it lubricated and functioning... Which way that is depends on how the spring is arranged in your gun...I keep my Diana 350 N-Tec muzzle-down; as the seals on the gas spring are towards the muzzle end.Jesse
There was another thread a while ago about storing in a case. Make sure the gun is wiped down with an oily rag and be certain there is no moisture trapped in the case. Ventilation is important.
