Let's just start out with I was at a local gun show and stumbled across a Winchester 435 (Diana 35) rifle in immaculate condition.
Then there was a post here on GTA for Webly pistols being unloaded on AoA... I want a Tempest. While searching there, I found a Winchester 353 (Diana model 5) pistol. Listed as VG condition.
Hmmm... Vintage is right, single photo looked good and the $130 price was in my budget. Might be a good match for my 435.. I bit.
Tonight I came home to find a vintage soft case packed in a box... The contents were nothing short of "breath taking"
I'm thoroughly pleased!
The blueing is immaculate. The stock has only slight scuffs on one rear side...
AND...
Get this.
Is is not only the same
vintage
as my rifle, but the same
year
.. only two months apart!
08/68 - 10/68!
I checked it's function and it feels NICE!

I know... Right?!
Intents are to run it across the chrony tonight with some different pellets before and after oiling it...
These were no power house and in .22 in Tom Gaylords report between 375 f.p.s. and 450 f.p.s. is acceptable.
Then, once it settles in, comes punching some paper to check accuracy.

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

Nice !
That's definitely 100% a Diana 5 air pistol and with $130 the price is right. Look she is in close to mint condition indeed so must be a keeper.
In Europe the parts for the Diana 5 are still reasonably well available.

Before oiled..
H&N Sport was cutter - 225 with a big spread
JSB Express - 265 with only a 5 fps spread
RWS Super Domes - 220 with a bit 10fps larger spread
JSB Jumbo- 240 with another 10 fps spread.
After oiling with Neatsfoot
H&N sport - 295... Ext spread was 10
JSB Express 330... ES was 7
RWS Super Domes 295 but spread increased
JSB Jumbo- 300 and spread was 8.
Accuracy was fair... Shooting 5 yards.
Decent groups... off hand.
It may have been the loose but behind the trigger.
