Ehh freinds, would anyone think it odd that a fellow pushing fiddy would purchase the adult size Redrider?
I mean, you can have fun with one right?
Been wanting one for some time for some reason.
I had better when I was a kid. Crossman pumper.
Anyway, are there any must have upgrades for this toy?

I noticed when I stopped caring what people thought, I started getting a lot less visitors and started having a lot more fun.

I have several red ryders including the adult model. At 53, I could care less what anyone thinks. My wife enjoys shooting my bb guns too.

I turned 66 last summer and got something I WANTED for my birthday... an Adult Red Ryder!
My dedicated BB shooter!
need to add.. it only gets Daisy BB's, as they are better quality/ uniform size.

68 here. Bought one. The buttstock is both longer and thicker in dimension. Gives the gun a nice heft and ‘feel’. Liked it enough, I bought a second one to lessen the amount of time spent on ‘Where did I leave that the last time I shot’ chores.

I just turned 66 and love air rifles of all sorts. Who cares what others think? I've had a kids size Daisy model 104 for a couple years now. Just acquired an Eagle model 98 built 11/9/61 & Red Rider Carbine no111 model 40 built 1953-54. Just won an auction for a model 99 Target Special in real nice shape last evening. Includes the original factory leather sling as well! Wanna get a target trap, since I have a box of Umarex targets to fit them. It'd be safer for indoor shooting. The BB's won't go through my modular backstop I built with 3 layers of cardboard on the face. They're fun to shoot at targets, or just plinking.
I also have 6 daisy 1894's, 2 NOS and one with wood stocks built for Winchester.

Last fall, I bought the Daisy Red Ryder Heritage combo for me and my grandson. One standard and one adult size. WE LOVE SHOOTING TOGETHER!!! I get to teach him safety first, then marksmanship. By the way, I just turned 68. I really don't care what others think!!

For some small time fun you really can't go wrong with the Daisy line up. I've been enjoying modding and sharing some creations on my YouTube channel. Age is only a number and it's great to relive those childhood times. Have some fun!

I have a regular RR and a Buck. About two months ago, I shot, what is probably a once in my lifetime group at 17 yards with it. I was shooting at the top of a standard recipe card, as the the RR is sighted in much closer. The RR is stock except for one of those Lasso scope mounts and an old BSA red dot. I think it's an RD30? The Buck is a bit more interesting. It has a Buck-Rail scope mount and the same maker's bipod, and has a cheapo red/green sight on it. It has given me lots of enjoyment plinking cans at 15 yards.
Her, I hope, is the once in a lifetime RR group. I should frame it. No way do I expect to be able to duplicate this group.
