I wanted to convert to gas ram&only place I can get it is eBay.its for Russians

i bought a gas ram for the new incarnation of the izzy-61 off ebay from some one in Russia
3 weeks or so later it showed up.... week or so later I killed it :(
No hassles buying it or getting it. They did warn me IIRC it would take a bit to get here

Bad quality?any warranty?or just SOL?

I've purchased quite a bit from Russia, Bulgaria, and Belarus. They are limited in what they can send to the US, e.g. rifle stocks, barrels and pistols are forbidden. Basically anything that can potentially send a projectile through a bore.
However, sights, trigger parts, piston seals etc., should not be a problem.
And yeah, expect three to four weeks for it to arrive.
PM me about what particular item/seller you're looking at. I know a few of the Russian sellers personally, but only by email. If they are someone I have dealt with, I can give you some advice.

after I got the gas ram, I had rebuilt and tore down that gun a few times. The last time I rebuilt it, I put the ram in the wrong way and something cut it and it hissed out the magic gas.... Totally my fault. One thing... IMO that gun is small and the gasram had a harsh shot cycle

I bought a gas ram for my IZH 38 from a guy in Izhevsk. Arrived in a few weeks after an interesting time tracing its way across the Russian Republic. Works fine after may shots. Much heavier to cock than standard for very little increase in power. No matter how hard you push the piston of a short stroke gun it is still a short stroke gun and limited in its potential power.

Did you buy it from Saper-Custom? He's a great guy to deal with. Mikhail is his name. I email and buy from him about every three months or so.
Last early December via ebay I paid for an MP53 with the rare "Match" grips. It never arrived. The seller contacted me telling me that Russian Customs would not allow him to sell it to me. I asked for a refund. He said he would refund me. So now we are into thirty days past the sale. I continued to ask him for my refund and he kept responding "I will get it to you, please do not post a negative feedback" sort of thing. Every week thereon I would ask him about it, only to get the same response. I contacted him a week ago (now almost 90 days since the transaction) and said WHERE IS MY REFUND? He then replied as to what exactly did he owe me, like he couldn't even remember.
I finally called Paypal, and, despite the fact that it was beyond their 30 days dispute limit, they opened a case for me and said that if they (Paypal) could not get it resolved with the seller, they (Paypal) would refund my money.
Point is - be careful from whom you buy in Russia.
SAPER-CUSTOM is cool. He adds little trinkets like kitchen magnets of Putin bare-chested on a bull crossing a river LOL!

I ordered a piston seal for my IZH 61 on March 11, it still has not arrived. I am counting it as a loss. $11 dollars is not much to make a fuss over.

Was it an eBay purchase, and if so, from what seller? I know a few of them.

I've bought Russian watch parts on ebay, it takes a while for the stuff to get here but it always has and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more on ebay if need be !!!

Stinger177: Yes it was from an ebay seller, ostabender80 . It is probably the Russian postal system fault and not the seller. The tracking number does not work for me.

OK...OK. I got my order from Russia today. Just over two months to get here. All is good.

I have ordered twice. SAPER-CUSTOM took 26 days came from Russia to Hong Kong to Minnesota to me. ALEXEYBEZPOROXA took 14 days straight from Russia.
