hey-Hey!!!,
I have taken my Blue for two FT matches so far. Discovered a few strengths and weakness-es. Holding steady after 8 pumps is a bit of a challenge. Going to have to send it off to Tim for the full treatment; longer pump arm and steroid valve among other seals. I also need a proper scope; 4x20 without AO and mil-dots leaves me under-glassed. Strengths? No hold sensitivity like the springers. I drilled 3/8" kill trigger holes this past weekend at 10-15 Yards and was mighty pleased. The rifle shoots much better than I up to 40 yards and then the hold-over stuff gets too picky for reliable hits. I shot with Greg Lundy at SWMAGC this past weekend, and he's going to set me up with one of his mounts. I can't wait...
I shot 32 out of 60...I'm all grins.
cheers,
Douglas

That's great. I've been shooting FT for a year now and have not seen anyone else shoot a multi-pump at a match. It might be hard to control your heart rate after 8 pumps. But it seems better than lugging extra air or a long walk back to lane 1 to recharge. Keep it up. 32/60 is not bad, all things considered. A better scope and learning your holdover past 40 yards is going to help you a lot.

ditto what scott says, plus longer pump arm and steroid treatment might mean fewer pumps to get sufficient and consistent fps.

That serious shooting using a pumper. Nice going. If you ever move into PCPs the rest of the FT crowd may be in some serious trouble. Heck, you keep going with that pumper and they may be in trouble anyway

A hawke SR6 might be a nice scope choice.
I had a 2-7 Hawke SR6 in front of me today. That is indeed a nice scope, and not heavy either...one of my springers broke a 3-9 Airmax with the SR6 and for this pumper it will live forever...
cheers,
Douglas
