I'm surprised at that because these Walther products are very well made.As for the MaximaThor, it comes with a 600mm (23.6") Lothar Walther barrel, and a Minelli stock. The magazine is interchangeable with the Rotek, the Dominator and the Hammerli 850. What a nice plus for those who have all four guns in the same caliber. The MaximaThor has a hot valve, too, and is rated at 1260 fps using alloy pellets and 1000 psi using lead pellets. What that means to me is that I will be able to use heavier lead pellets and have excellent striking power and accuracy at extended hunting ranges.I have to fess up, I guess. I took the plunge this afternoon and bought the MaximaThor in .22 cal., from GrabAGun!It was the last one they had in stock, and the price was the best I could find on the net. $550.75 plus $19.01 shipping! Pyramid, Airgundepot, and MidwayUSA all wanted much more than $700 for the same gun.Just a reminder for anyone who is contemplating an air gun purchase from GrabAGun. That $5.99 per gun shipping they advertise is only for FIREARMS - NOT AIRGUNS!
I own a Walther rotex 22 and absolutely love it. As I’m writing this, have a Walther Rotex Varmint in 177 coming from Krale Schietsport in the Netherlands. Walther never exported the varmint to the u.s.? Don’t know why? Anyways according to Krale they have shipped 2 of the varmints in 22 and I am the only one that ordered a 177 being shipped to the u.s. 😳
