New to air guns and I’ve been researching for a .25 to be used primarily for hunting I. The 10-15 yard range. My top contender right now is the Benjamin armada. Does anyone have experience with this rifle and the included scope? Is there an upgrade available to increase the air cylinder size for more shots? Suggestions on if I should look at something else? Perhaps a little shorter for the distance I’m doing? Hatsan air max or bejamin akela converted to .25? Thanks in advance for any insight

Welcome!
Have an armada in .22 - it was the first pcp that I got back around 2015. The bundled scope isn’t that great and considering all of the other scopes to be had at a good price point, this scope will leave a lot to be desired. That is unless the scope has been changed out or upgraded. But it appears in the listing I found on AGD, it’s the same one. That close range is some decent power- what are you shooting at?
I’m not aware of any cylinders for more shot count- but haven’t ever researched it.
The armada is basically a tactical version of the marauder.
There are tons of options out there- I’m sure others will chime in. For me it’s about what interests me. That’s why I picked up the armada when I did ever so long ago.
If you are going to be spending as much as I think you are- as that package isn’t cheap, you aren’t too far away from something higher end or setting yourself up with multiple airguns.
Good luck in your search! Sorry I am not committing to a choice / selection for you to pursue. I do recommend doing as much reading and watching of videos as you can- and of course using the experience of others here on the forum.

I’m using it exclusively to hunt iguanas and pythons hence the .25 power at shorter range. If anyone has a suggestion for better optics for the armada or any other air gun suggestions please let me know. Trying to be in the $800 range

as fireslinger stated the JTS aircuda max is an option, I own one in .25 cal and out to 50 yards it is shoots less than a dime sized hole for 10 shots,
With in your price range there is LOTS of options,
more info, in my gun i get around 30 shots per fill and am beyond happy with it for the price point. had a few issues, but Travis with JTS helped me out immensely and owe him a great amount of praise. The FPS are consistent, across the board, less than 4 fps deviation in a 10 shot string for my gun. My gun loves the JSB Hades, and wow do those pellets do work.
The one and only down side I can see to the JTS max for your application is, its a big gun and it has some heft to it. but I truly do enjoy shooting mine, even compared to my more than 5 times more expensive other guns, its just as much fun, ya not the best pic, but ehh deal with it

Umarex Gauntlet 2 .25. Has a large air bottle, very accurate and regulated.
Easy to upgrade to larger bottle and higher pressure regulators.
$350 at Utah Airguns.

This little gun might be a better fit for small areas.

Do you have a fill source for a pcp or will this have to be included in budget?
I'm not sure how much power needed for your quarry...For 10-15 yard shooting I'd personally lean towards open sights or possibly a dot sight.
If you like the Armada, go for the Armada. If you want an Armada but with a bigger air source... The Benji Gunnar? This currently comes with a hand pump (you'll want a compressor eventually) but you'll have to get an optic...

You can save on most items (not all) by entering GATEWAY-PYRAMYD as a coupon code at Pyramyd ($73 off the Gunnar above)
The Marauder is always a solid choice also, but it's old enough that the aftermarket goodies have come and gone. JTS has some solid options currently and some others coming eventually. Not sure if you're after synthetic stock, tacticool looks with lots of rails or a more traditional wood stock? Lots of pcp options these days, just figuring out what you want/need can be overwhelming. If you want lots of shots and not worry about air, break barrels might be an option also.

As for optics, and 15 yard use, I would go with a low magnification optic with A/O adjustment, or a multi recital dot sight. How is your airgun shopping going
