I was bidding on a "blast from the past" and won it!I had bid way low and didn't expect to win, but here we are. I am once again the proud owner of a Healthways Plainsman 175, BB Repeater Kinda looks like a SciFi RayGun, Huh? Guess I'll need to order some 8 Gram CO2's...
In a moment of weakness,a while back I sold my Daisy 853 to a young admirer. I missed her so a replacement arrived today.

Several of you may know that I am a sub $300 airgun kinda guy. I also enjoy tinkering nearly as much as shooting.I have many of the sub $300 offerings but there is one I never bought was the Gauntlet. So this morning I'm gonna grab the $100 one from the classifieds.I've already been in contact with Haj about his suggested upgrades. This journey begins.
Yeah, spent some time this morning walking around the rim and looking down into that hole.Like I told Haj this morning.. I'm going to receive the gun and give it a good look see before I order upgrades. The main thing is to determine what GEN it is... Due to original purchase date of Nov. 2019 I suspect it to be a GEN I.Next will be to address a very minor slow leak.. I suspect a nicked oring or maybe a poppet. Then I will decide if I want a short light single stage or a simulated 2 stage trigger. It's a somewhat heavy gun, as mentioned and the added weight of a scope is going to make it heavier. It will be a bench shooter so a bipod will also be an option. I have a few sling lug adapters.
