Take your time keep an eye on the temp and you should be fine. In the winter I fill my bucket with snow and it takes a lot longer to get hot.
You guys that already own YH compressors did you upgrade the water pump? If so with what type? What type of water/coolant do you run. Side note: I think maybe the gx line of compressors is a viable option. Bill from target forge announced he is becoming a U.S. distributor for gx parts.
My water pump failed after the first use so I replaced it with this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/173028543346?hash=item28494e0b72:g:o1EAAOSwR2RaL3nyI use cold water with lots of ice (not ice packs) directly in the water and my temps are always under 45C when topping off my SCBA's from 3000 to 4200 psi.I also use Mobil Rarus 827 oil which is made for high pressure air compressors. My YH is 5 years old and has never required a rebuild but I'm sure it will at some point.
I went a different route with this onehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07XYRS15R?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_titleHaven’t had any problems going on 3rd year. I like that its portable, and air cooled. I take it with me, and hook it to the battery in my truck. Can take it when traveling too. Next is a bottle
