Maybe you should think about putting it back on the HW 95. I likes what it likes...That is why Greg calls them Frauleins. -Y
Ron I don’t think a firm hold is wrong even though it may go against common practice. As you know I only have a 30 and a 95, but both demand a very different hold.I haven’t shot much lately, but even after curing my 95s cocking link issue, it still must be held more like a powder burner. Firm, but not tight. My 30 wants a very light hold. It wouldn’t surprise me that the R1 is different yet.
Firm artillery hold for the R1. My .20 R1 loves Kodiaks 13.7g. How new is the gun? How new is the spring? Shoot that sucker until it settles down.
I can vouch for the barrel when it was on the R9 and it being on the R1. I’m gonna go with the fact that it’s a 18-19fpe springer. The shot cycle is absolutely beautiful, but it’s still a 18-19fpe springer lol.
Heck, Ron! I am HAPPY with 3/8" groups!
