You can try the pen spring but I find that to be too light to work well. It is very easy to replace the spring. The hammer spring dimension is 3" in length, wire 0.045, OD 0.395, ID 0.295. Can someone recommend a lighter hammer spring?Try the same spring in a .042 or .041 wire diameter. Most compression springs are designed to fit over a shaft so the OD will actually be slightly less if you get the same .295ID.Then filter first by the wire size and see what you get then you can play with the different variables and get an appropriate spring. Can you point a young fellah (to this sport) to the right place for these springs?Thank you much sir. Still learning and so much to learn as of yet. I am not seeing anything similar to the suggested measurements. I will play around and see what I can find though.

I'll give this a whirl! Of course there wouldn't be one exactly as needed lol! I'm not afraid to tinker though. Excited. This Beeman showed up today and will be my sons first PCP that we will use together.
I'm not really a bullpup kinda guy but for the price I thought it wouldn't hurt to give the platform another shot.
any suggestions between this beeman and akela currently selling at $389
Hopefully mine hits what I aim at. If so, I won't be doing anything but shooting it. If not, stay tuned for a classified add.Way too many options out there for me to be fixing what should have been right in the first place... at any price. As for loudness... a quite gun has never been on my 'must have' list. I chose to live somewhere where it don't matter.

But when an Airgun can be quiet with little to no cost to me I'm all for it.
For 250...why not. Hmmmm...u don't need another gun, u don't need another gun.Repeat 5x
