Happy Birthday Scott.
-------------------------------

  I have been cleaning, sorting organizing stuff and I think dust has my allergize reacting. I went to bed with a stuffy nose and woke with a sore throat from being a mouth breather as I slept. I don't feel sick at all though. My wife seems to have hives (or possibly shingles although not in pain, yet). The weird thing about her rash is it started on her lower legs and was there only for the last three days but now has begun to spread. She is putting topical ointments on it and taking Benadryl and staying hopeful that it will just fade away. She doesn't want to go to our doctor about it because he never knows anything about skin issues and would just refer her to yet another doctor.

Older Beemans didn't have a safety.

So, the seriously half-baked Weihrauch safety isn't even original.

I'm sure Weihrauch engineers could quote sear geometry reasons for the lousiest safety in the springer realm, but it sure feels like an afterthought.

I've sharpened chainsaw chain before and it worked fine. I was just looking for a easier way to do it but I guess the file way is the best and I just need to stop being lazy and"just do it!" 💪 I have a set of Stihl files already.

German AirGun Gate / Re: HW95L .22 cal bore pellet push test
« Last post by Ilimakko on Today at 12:56:29 PM »
I just PelletGaged 100 H&N FTT 5.53's. They came from a tin with pellets that are annoyingly tight in the breech of my HW95, usually requiring a double-push to chamber, but similarly tight also in my other .22 cal's breeches. Suspicions that they are not what the tin says were the main motivator here, but this is the first time I've ever Gaged H&N's, so it's interesting on its own.

H&N FTT 5.53 true head diameter:

5.52 = 4 %

5.53 = 54 %

5.54 = 42 %

In this sample, FTT's fared quite a bit worse than my previous several samples of Exacts. Close to one half of the pellets here are bigger than the tin says. I suspect this is a factor in the perceived tightness of the pellets, although 5.54 is not even the biggest nominal size for FTT's.

I guess this is an example of "each has his own taste".
 30 years ago I got a burger from Wendy's made with Rancid Beef... spit out the first bite.
Swore I'd never go back and have kept that promise.
I remember their "chili" was more like tomato water with yesterdays burgers crumbled in.

While I do like a QP w/cheese from Mac-n-Dons, I miss their "old Fries"

BK is my favorite of the 3
Gimme a  Whopper, Original Chicken, or simple Cheese Burger, anytime.
Heck,  just the smell driving past a Burger King makes my mouth water.
That's about right on the Chili.
The burgers have about 5 minutes on the holding grill before they get set aside for chilli meat, then we take a tater masher to it, put it in a bag, and freeze it for chilli.

I don't eat chilli but while it has a pleasant smell I would not eat our chilli if I did.

I don't know how everybody else does things, but I imagine all fast food places do things people would rather not know about.

well me I am not a springer guy but did order one to give a trigger tune and then give as a stocking stuffer to my youngest...

near the same price as the clearance 1377 I gave her a couple years ago...Was going to get her a 880 to go with her 953 for more $...probably still will...when they are back in stock.. ;)

the one thing that does bother me a  bit is that the barrel looks pretty skinny for a barrel cocker....does any one know the diameter..?  thinking  I will sleeve it and maybe make a short partial shroud for it...

checked with digital calipers
 it is a 15mm  barrel

Thanks Bill!

Funny story John
Decades ago, when my wife was at a Cheer-leader camp, they competed against a school for the deaf.
Being Cheer-Leaders each team "cheered" the others on.
 When they wanted to support the girls from the Special Needs school they decided to make signs to hold up for support.
 One of the girls said "Write it REALLY BIG so the can hear it"...
  ;D :o ::) :P
