After much consideration, examination of finances and plans, and reading of dozens of threads and reviews, the check was written, envelope addressed and stamped. Postal person whisked (hopefully) it away to Iowa where Mike at Flying Dragon will soon be doing a full tune on a XS46U underlever .22 of my very own.
Lots of complimentary reviews out there online both of the rifle and Mike. I'm looking forward to owning a new truly tuned piece of projectile-tossing machinery I can enjoy without breaking my bank. Maybe a few backyard grays and garden-chomping bunnies are on my menu too. Mostly though just the pure enjoyment of punching holes in paper cheaply.
Allgood things wished for all here, and thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts and experiences with others freely.

It's ok to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.
While practicing through my scope, I thought about the "cheek weld". My shooting improved drastically when I discovered it was talking about my face.

I can share in your delight because I have experienced it. I have seen a squirrel once in London but rabbits galore here so get at them in your patch .

Thank you both. Should make an excellent rabbit rifle. I do love springers. A tin of pellets, and an interest in a walk is all it takes for me.

Just a thing I picked up on in another post there is a new FD website, no wonder why the one I had saved looked wacky
