Wait- is that the factory tube length, w/o an extension (plenum)? I wonder if it would be possible to machine the tube and an adapter to reverse the o-ring location- i.e. before the threads, not after? Hmmmm...
This mock up is an OEM tube, note the end cap is not present in this pic. A Brod tank block is just smaller than the ID of the BD tube, it slips in with no oring/thread engagement. Someone would have to machine an adapter that the male end screws into the BD tube and the female end matched the Brod tank block. It could be done with a piece of .250 or .375 walled tubing, I believe.

I'm hoping that on the BD end, that I could simply flip the position of the o-ring, and design the end cap to mimic a Mrod's end cap- i.e. o-ring then threads. I mean, it should work, right? Or am I looking at things too simplistically?
If all you are talking about is moving the oring inboard of the threads, if only to prevent pressurizing threads, yes that could be done. But you will still need an adapter made between the 2, due to the difference in diameter between the 2.
That modified upper shroud looks good! I can't wait to see how this beast will look in that P10 stock!
What a Beast!
