Is there a break in period for these rifles same as ot would be for springers? Do they need a few hundred pellets to settle in?

My pumper’s have always shot great right out of the box.
Some can be a bit pellet picky though.
My experience is limited to 39x, 13xx, and 880’s though.

The little I have shot my son's 901 it is very accurate , I am just trying to find which pellets it likes the most. So far I had good luck with piranhas

All of my pumpers liked the piranha pellets..... until lately.
Don’t know why, but after shooting them for well over a year and literally thousands of pellets, the last tins of piranah’s I bought won’t group at all in any of my 177 or 22’s???
Makes me wonder if a change has been made in head size or something. Maybe I just got a bad tin or two.
Anyway, they all seem to like most gamo pellets, especially the domes and magnum pointed.
My 880’s love Daisy wadcutters.
Glad your 901 likes the piranah’s. I really like that pellet for hunting both in 177 and 22.

I did not find mine to be as sensitive in regards to break in like my springers, however I added some extra oil on the linkage and other areas after I had put 200 rounds through it and it really smooth up/shot better quite a bit, so that might help.
