I am still using the CP 3x9 scope that came with my Trail npxl1100. I have shot probably 5000 or so rounds with it and have had no problems what so ever. I like the scope. It may break tomorrow, but it's been great so far. Maybe I got a good one. But I aint changing it till I have to.

I think I will follow your advice and give it the "Ol" college try but still going to send some pellets through her first.

i'm with richard ...i have two of them and they are holding up just fine...and one is on a RWS 52 which ate two other scopes....not bad for a scope that comes with a gun ;D

The one that came with my .22 XL is still on the rifle and holding strong. I like the scope and it's never given me any problems at all.

Something I just thought of, that hasn't been mentioned. While experimenting with several different brands and weights and styles of pellets, trying to find the ammo that my gun shoots most accurately, I noticed something else. Some pellets seem to shoot very smoothly through my gun and even the recoil is easier and smoother. With others, the shot cycle is rougher and the recoil is noticably harder and twistier. The smoother shooting pellets group far better than the others and I can't help but believe that quickly finding the smoothest and most accurate pellet for any given gun will definately save on some of the scopes being destroyed. People are quick to blame certain guns for being scope eaters, Couldn't it also be possible that the wrong amunition could be a big part of the problem? From my own experimentation, I believe it to be very possible and even probable in many cases.
