Chronoed the 2240 carbine today.
45Bravo:
I have chronoed this rifle before on a 92 degree day, with the velocity adjuster in the stock adapter set at the 1/2 way point.
It was a high of 511fps, then went down, and averaged 487.
Today, I cranked it all the way in, to preload the spring to the max to see what change it would have on the velocity.
I fired it once to pierce the cartridge, then started the chrono test.
2240 carbine 10 inch barrel, with LDC.

LAalex:
Thanks for the info. Those are pretty good numbers for such a short barrel. That's a handy little hammer. Any mods?

45Bravo:
Internally, it has a stock valve, and spring, and bolt probe, but added a poly port mod, and polished the trigger contact surfaces, and re crowned the 10 inch barrel, don't know who made the LDC, it came in a trade.
The power adjuster is built into the stock adapter.
One of the reasons I posted it was to show the FPS gain over the factory 7.5 inch barrel.

Wonder what would happen if you backed it out 2 turns, as far as the shot count is concerned.
45Bravo:
That is my next step, while the velocity did increase, my shot count decreased(expected) but my curve is vastly different, my next outing will be backing it out 2 turns for each cartridge..
Until I am beyond the stock setting.
