Good call, the Dutch elm has tons of cool figure to it.
I don't think it's exactly the ideal candidate for the combination of Linseed oil and minwax gundtock color that I like to use, but they don't come out looking bad at all.




I think when I finally get around to refinishing my 400 ( if I ever do ) I'll try a dark-ish cherry color and see how that goes.
