I sure would like to know hat Crosman and Daisy paint their stuff.
It isn't overly glossy, but not exactly flat, either.
And it is soooooooooooooooooooo smooth..........

Is the Black Satin Finish Krylon close?

Many paints are close, but seem to be either too glossy or too flat......

Virtually every spray  paint directs you to apply in light coats.
I'm sure that the process is done in just 1 coat by D&C.

Almost all paints I spray have a touch of orange peel; not totally flat and smooth like the original......

Spray cans can be challenging. Too close, too far away, too heavy a coat, too dry between lite coats, temperature and humidity. Some we can control others not. Manufactures have it all dialed in at the factories.

I have some touch-up spray guns, ALA Binks 115 and could shoot using them,
if I could find the right painf........
