It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I bring forth this information. Our beloved Wayne52, Larry Wayne Nufer has passed away July 10 2023. He was laid to rest July 25 2023 at Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Rest in peace Brother.

Larry Wayne Nufer, 70 of Kalamazoo, passed away at Borgess Hospital on July 10, 2023. He was born on December 11, 1952, to the late Wesley and Jennie (Verbeek) Nufer.
After high school, Larry dutifully served in the United States Army earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Larry enjoyed metal detecting in recent years, and his pellet gun and hunting for squirrels with it. He recently became interested in making his own lead pellets and loved to learn all he could about his hobby.

Larry is survived by his siblings Tim Nufer, Jim Nufer, and Judi Schonacher; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. That is terrible news, being a not so active member here I did enjoy reading his posts, and will continue to as I re-read them as I stumble across them. Thoughts for his family and friends. Godspeed Wayne52.
