Crosman NP214 Trail baffle
PikeP:
Curious if anyone has tinkered around and improved on this design or have a file around that would be easy to match dimensions with?
I run one of these inserts in a custom CF tube, it does fine but doesn't hurt to ask, as these run 'flat' baffles opposed to conical. I am far from an expert in this field but I am pretty sure those that have tinkered stick with conical style baffle. Thanks!

I too use this baffle in a CF tube and it is quite effective. I am just getting back into printing so I have nothing to offer you but I would like to see a file for this as well.

I am back from my month long walkabout. Fighting jetlag some of the time, but eager to help with your endeavor to produce a 3D printable insert.
What are your preferred sizes and coupling methods?
Tube ID?
Insert length?
Thread size and depth etc?

For myself, I only use them on 177 and 22. It would be great to print them as they are, unless you are actually able to improve the sound deadening of the baffle design.
On the other hand it would be cool to increase the diameter by 50 or 75%. I will have to check CF tube ID availability.

I have 22mm ID CF tube, with 25mm OD. Would be nice if I could find the tube though. Bought a meter of it, so you'd think it wouldn't be hard to spot. I've used only 150mm of it so far... It would be nice to have an insert like the Trail Baffle to fit in it. I can do the ends, I've made them out of aluminum and delrin. Probably have to stare at the picture of the baffles long enough, and maybe I could model it. Is there anything special about the baffle design?
Here's a whack at it. Need to adjust a couple of values. I don't have one in my hands, so this is guessing from the picture on Pyramyd. With some work I can partially parameterize it. Are there any other inside holes that I haven't captured? I put a 25 cal hole through it, for a place holder. This design is probably not printable, I'm just doing a rough design at the moment. Guessing at 20 mm long chambers. You know, this was kind of fun to draw. No threads. I made this 22mm OD, might shave it a tenth so it will fit in the tube.
