oldpro:

They don't use this style poppet anymore they went with a single piece head and stem design.

I detect some ill feelings and a trolling happening here ???

If we can't keep conversations ON-SUBJECT, please say nothing to side rail the subject at hand.

Thank you,

I truly apologize if this is not the place to put this, and if it needs moved, I fully understand.

I am not new to the pcp world, but I am new to the upper end of tuning etc...

I am currently working on a Airacuda max in .25 cal.
When I got the gun from my dealer the reg was set to 180 bar, and I would only get 12-15 shots according to the pressure gauges before it fell off the reg. I am currently set to about 140 reg, and have messed with the hammer spring all the way in and out. no matter what the  max FPS has never been over 850. and I am no where near the 30+ claimed by the advertisements.  I know claims don't always match actual performance,  but shot count to me will always beat FPS.  2nd problem I am having is my 25 cal Donny fl yokozuna clips EVERY section, So I bought a 30 cal version, and it clips the last 3 sections of that one as well.  Any one have suggestions?

SEARCH is your friend !!
There is also a Face Book page for Airacuda owners if you do the FB thang  :-\

I've not been on here in a while and when I was a couple of weeks ago, it just happened that I reached out to Scott about his anti bounce device for the JTS Max

I come on today and see this thread at the top of the gate so figured I'd post what I've been up to.

I ended up not making the anti bounce and instead went the same route as the avenger and used a heavier, shorter spring as well as other improvements.

This is a .22

I've removed the body high pressure section of the air tube and the regulator. Made a new end cap and fitted a Huben Power Dream Valve, regulated drop block. I increased the internal diamater of the valve and transfer port. I made a Lothar Walther barrel and used the brass section from the OE barrel and increased the flow a little. Fitted a carbon shroud and made a new endcap / air stripper / moderator threads.

It's not tuned but set at 124 bar (1800psi) and shoots 18.3g JSB at 1065fps with about 1/8 free play on the hammer spring (no tension). Also after getting it on paper and turning down the reg it put 12 shots on a dime at 40 yards shooting this hot and the shooting setup was super sketchy.

I can't wait to see this in the stock witha. Bit of time spent actually tuning it.

No hammer bounce was heard with the setup I had.
