Anyone try the 12ga. Paradox slugs from the Russian molds in their Zeus?

He states 525grains and thats a big fat lie! They clock in around 655grains cast from 97/3.



Not for the true potential of a 32" Zeus as speeds of flatnose bullets must be a tad below MK1.
But you get 10½ to the pound, so it's plinker friendly ;-)

Have you by any chance tried a full .73 roundball in your diablo?  I was thinking of getting a mold to cast those but I'm not sure if such a heavy projectile would make some wicked recoil.  It seems like another good dual-use ammo option for the diablo and zeus.

  I haven't tried the round ball yet but I'm going to The Log Cabin Sport shop next week and they carry all things black powder and plan on picking some up. I also want to see what else they have around .729-.730 in a bullet. I was checking out Ballistic Products and I think the ammo that American Gun Crafters sell is the same as the LBC Sabot that Ballistic Products sell. They have several other 12ga. wad-slug combos that may work in both guns too. I will have to experiment some with these. I also have an 8" Desperado which should up the velocity some.I'm just not sure how the plastis wads will word with the Zeus's rifling and pressure. They also may be too long to fit the Zeus.

   Well, I tried to check out the LLCB Sabot in the Zeus but it is just too big to fit the bore. I couldn't even get it started in there.
