Title: Stands for our BB/pellet traps
Post by: bryan123 on July 25, 2018, 02:36:10 PM
Hi,
Newbie here and my first post on this gate.

We shoot BB's in our 5 meter one car garage at paper targets taped to our two BB/pellet traps, which are cardboard boxes  (13.5 inches high x 10.5 inches wide x 6 inches deep) filled with rubber mulch. They do the job and cost next to nothing.

Up until now the traps are sitting on two suitcases, stacked horizontally and leaning against the garage door.  We would like a better solution.  I thought about an ironing board but we don't have one ( lol ).

What do you guys stand your pellet/ BB traps on?

Thank you

Bryan

Real milk crates. They are light weight and strong, and sturdy when stacked.

Right now, in my indoor basement, my Champion .22 rimfire trap sits on top of an old, large foam archery target.

Great idea, thanks, and traps could be stored in the milk crates when not in use. Now to find four or six of them....

Any other options?

Champion steel trap on a 2-step step stool.
Trap on top shelf, spare targets on the bottom step.

stacked 5 gallon buckets with lids

Nice idea...unlike the milk crates the buckets nest inside each other when not in use.  Which would work better orange or blue lol??

When it comes to 5gal buckets, I'm an orange man....since I find Home Depot seems to have them the cheapest. I have about a dozen of these buckets, and their usefulness seems to be endless.

Caution with the buckets.
If you store something heavy inside the stacked buckets, it will pack the buckets together, making taking them apart sometimes VERY difficult.  Been there, done that, was not happy.

Wood fold-out TV tray.

Works GREAT.
