ER-32 Collet Chucks

I purchased a Vevor MX 8X14 mini lathe.
I want to put an ER-32 collet chuck on it.
There is a very wide spectrum of prices on these, ranging from the mid $40's to almost $200.00.
Does the old adage "You get what you pay for" apply here?
What deficiencies can be expected with cheap chucks?
I have seen the HHIP collet chucks mentioned on the web.
Any feedback here??
These range in price from $90.00 up to $150.oo or so for the same chuck from different sources......
Should I believe that they would all be the same quality (?) ??

You can lead a man to water, but you can't keep him from urinating in it.

When you get some, check for runout, if you get a bad one, send it back.

I cut my own back plates and tram to make concentricity. Once the holder is centered move on to the collets.
As far as the tolerances of the actual collets, check them all. Would be the same for an expensive set.
Good machinists usually suffer from OCD, it is what makes them good.
I am not a good machinist, more of an artisanal machinist.

the china tooling has gotten pretty good , especially with collets larger than er11.. So you should be fine with the cheap arrangement..id check the runout on the holder though( and the spindle on the lathe
