Previously the baffles could be easily removed, but later models have baffles that are snugly pressed in place. Makes it impossible to remove the baffles for cleaning. At least that’s my experience with a fairly new .22 Marauder.
A lot of the times this happens from double loading and shooting them out u could get new baffles and drill the holes out a tad more or if the rifle got dropped and the end of the barrel the stripper got broke that will miss align the baffles and shred them usually the barrel air stripper doesn't break from double loading and shooting

Makes it impossible to remove the baffles for cleaning. At least that’s my experience with a fairly new .22 Marauder. Two of three of my newest (2021) M-rods, a .177 FT and .22 FT both had all the baffles lodged into the shroud, but not the .25. Not one from pre 2020 was lodged. Almost as if they are off round, not unlike some yellow archived posts about un-centered baffles. Maybe their QC needs a refresher. I contacted Crosman and they told me they should remove easily, no change in the FT model. Somewhat disappointed with their answer too, which was equivalent to ‘good luck with that, any modifications voids warranty’. I typically remove them anyhow, just not having to use a dowel and a mallet! Broke a baffle trying to remove them. I tried baffles from a 2019 .25 and they did not get stuck, has to be a qc issue. Some type 200 silicone oil helped removal, messy but worked.
1st I've seen something on this.If anyone has recently purchased some, wondering if the price is still $1.15 each.
Hmm, the baffles for the 1720T are very expensive.I think I paid close to $10 or over $10 for each
