Plastic can be a more appropriate material for certain internal parts. Still doesn't mean that it's appropriate as a material for exterior parts. I'll put up with it on less expensive guns but it just screams "cheap" on higher end guns. If it doesn't bother you, great! That means that you've got more choices when deciding on a new gun. I don't understand why my aversion to plastic offends some readers of this thread. Like I said.... different strokes...I like Corvettes just fine but if I'm gonna have a nice glass of wine, it ain't gonna'be in a Solo cup...

It was the cheapest gun in their lineup by several thousand dollars. While $500-700 may seem expensive for a springer, it is dirt cheap for FWB. At least they tried. Remember Walther and SIG also tried and failed. If the plast ic trigger guard really bothers you, do something about and not just whine. I am sure most readers would much rather see a video about you casting a new trigger guard and another bla, bla airgun review. Go fancy and cast it out of silver or gold? I would use bronze. Whatever you do, if you make another video do not have music and narration simultaneously! -Y

Don't have a crucible and it's not worth the time anyway.Thought the music volume was low enough not to interfere with the voice. Lots of professional video productions play music while the speaker is speaking. I'll try to pay closer attention to the volume settings in the future. Definitely wanna' improve the quality of my videos. Thanks for your feedback.
And keep those videos on springers coming. I enjoyed your video on the Sport. Nicely done.
I will echo other comments about the video. The music level was not intrusive and did not make the dialogue hard to understand, unlike some amateurish videos I have seen on the internet. After I first noticed it, the music kind of faded unobtrusively into the background, at least for me. The sounds your Sport make would have me pretty disappointed too. Mine is not as bad but could stand improvement. The difficulty in properly mounting a scope without it creeping is just a poor design by FWB. I have a Hatsan 95 which is just as violent as the Sport, maybe more so. But that cheap Turkish gun has a separate scope stop already mounted from the factory. It is holding scope mount position quite well. It seems like FWB went out of their way to make the mount system different than everyone else, just to show they could. It may be different but sure is not better. Keep up the good work.
My mother said MANY decades ago, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". And I usually try to follow that guidance. But today a short un- . (and heresy against springers )Springer, and break-barrels especially, are quite a simple construction. Given the simplicity, guns of this price level should have a good amount of effort put into them so that the owner takes delivery of a fine rifle out of the box without twang, buzz, torque, and other quirks. If it were mine ..... Kevin, you have my support as well! I totally agree with your video!
"Scope creep" sounds like a voyeur with disposable income.
