I am considering getting the hawke 1x20 red dot for a 2240 pistol build. Have any of you tried it and would you recommend it on a pistol? I am keeping it as a pistol not a carbine, If you guys have any other recommendations that would be great too!

For a 2240 this might save you some $ I have a few of these and they give more aiming options, hold zero well. And these have 11mm mounts so no adapters needed.

I also like the Holosight with 4 reticles.... They have virtually no parallax error, and there is no tube to obstruct fast target acquisition, which is one of the reasons for a red-dot in the first place.... and no adapter needed if you buy the 11mm model....
