Hatsan 125/135 (and the like) Questions ...and any 177 owners?

Hello all, just curious on a few things.
First, how often do y'all shoot these beasts?
What pellets do you prefer to use?
How long do your piston seals last?
And... any regrets buying a certain caliber (especially .177's?)
(This is open to .22, .25 & .30 owner's too, but not sure how many .177 folks are out there)
I currently own one 125 .22, two 135's (one springer & a Vortex QE) in .177 and one 150 in .177. Two were close-outs and one referb.
Never could get the 150 to shoot well, barrel was over-bored/loose. Ended up changing to a "softer" spring and the gun now lives in the barn for plinking.
The 135 Vortex QE needs the (new) piston seal I installed a (long) while back to be sized. Lost a ton of power, only making 18fpe currently. The ram is in good order, but the ARH seal was never sanded down... Had gotten bad news at the time of 're-sealing so just slapped the gun together. Thought maybe seal would size it's self eventually, but doesn't seem to be the case...
Heavy .177 pellets always had limited options, but curious what people use. I may have "abused" my 135 Vortex shooting 7.9 - 8.6gr pellets for fun, but the gun took it like a champ. Still had "ok" accuracy to 25 yards shooting supersonic. Used Crosman 10.5's or H&N Baracuda Hunters when I wanted quieter/more accurate shooting.
The 135 springer only shot Crosman 10.5's, and very well. Didn't want to risk breaking the spring shooting anything lighter...
I got about 6000 shots out of the one piston seal (in the Vortex gun), figured that was decent given the power. Not sure how many shots between Piston seals is "normal". I chambered a 10.3gr Air Arms pellet that was tight when it blew, not sure if it was the cause or not.
I rarely shoot these guns anymore. Just too much for plinking, but thinking of bringing them out more often nowadays. I kind of wish I bought all in .22 caliber, but was an interesting learning expirence. Never scoped the 135's or 150, not sure one would last. Every once in a while I find a 125 in .177 that comes up for sale cheap, but my 125 sniper in .22 shoots CPHP's at 930- 940fps, and I don't need another cabinet queen. But do get tempted from time to time
Funny thing, I prefer to shoot pellets in the low 700's to high 800's for accuracy now, but blasting heavy 177's into the low-mid 1000's is fun too

Have a 135 vortex in .177 13. gr pellets seem to be the best weight, scoped it with a UTG 30mm tube scope. Rarely shoot it since I did the break in cycles, but it is accurate, but I already had PCPs that could pass the power and accuracy, so it sits as a novelty, or demo for anyone wanting to feel the high power break barrel surge

Back_Roads, Thanks for the reply.
I've let a few others shoot the 135 Vortex, just to try. Would load a CPHP or H&N ftt just to see their reaction. Lol, but then let them shoot heavies afterwards. Most folks I let try don't like the big magnums. Even though I think they're well balanced.
I don't recall trying the JSB monsters (13.4gr) in any of mine. Would be fun to test over the Holiday...
Thanks again, and Happy Holidays.

I honestly think the big Hatsan Magnums are best suited to .22 and .25 caliber. I have a 125 Vortex in .22 and a springer in .25. I shoot the .22 a couple times a week because it likes cheap CPHP’s. The .25 less often now that it is broken in. Both guns are wicked accurate. I have stretched my airgun hunting range out to fifty yards with these guns. I regularly shoot 30-40 pellets per session and don’t consider the guns fatiguing. Try shooting that many shots with a Crosman 1400 pumper and you will feel tired!
With that said these guns are absolutely ridiculous. They are freaks. My Mod 125 Sniper is 49 inches long and weighs about 11.5 lbs. scoped. It makes less power than a .22 CB cap!
Don’t get me wrong. I love em! But compared to my little 5lb. Ruger 10-22 they are absurd.

Yes Sir, they are a bit absurd. Lol
Funny thing, I bought my 125 sniper .22 Just for hunting/pesting, but have yet to do so. I usually take a lighter, milder .177, sometimes a .22 for those tasks. I applaud you for reaching out to fifty yards hunting with those beasts. Sure do have enough power.
Messed up my back & neck a while back, but now things seem to be better. I'll give a longer shooting session a go, not sure I'm up to 40 shot sessions but will see
Thanks for the reply, Happy Holidays.

For smiles and grins I dug out the 135 springer to chrony and do some plinking. Temps were about 27°F out, so not so much plinking happend this morning. I only ran a handful of H&N Baracuda Hunters (.177/10.49gr) over the chrony, all but one shot were in the low 1020's (fps) with that one being extremely tight was 999fps. All were tight in the leade, possibly why I mainly used Crosman 10.5's in this gun. If things warm up later I'll do some groups and maybe chrony some 13.4's to see how they do, and probably will sort out the 135 Vortex here too real soon.

Sent a bunch of Crosman 10.5's down range earlier today with the 135 springer. This is a fun gun, no other wood stocked springer is quite like it. The 125 is close, but the walnut stock really sets the 135 apart. I should have done a chrony reading with the Crosman pellets, but I'm sure they're moving as fast or slightly faster than the H&N's tested earlier (those Baracuda Hunters were very tight in the bore).
Which leads to this photo below, there's a dark ring starting about 1.5-2" in the bore (sorry, no bore scope photo), its not a shadow, but a solid lead ring. Lol, got some cleaning to do

I have a .25 cal H135 and a .22 cal WFH (a H125 variant). I haven't shot either yet enough (only into the hundreds with each gun) to answer your questions, but plan to. I certainly would not even consider a .177 cal version of either, as that would feel like a Porsche Turbo engine on a VW Bug.
I don't feel the big Hatsans are absurd. I also don't think they could (or should) be any smaller for the power they produce. Especially the 135 shoulders and lines up really well, the walnut stock is fine and the gun shoots really quite nicely with heavy enough pellets. I can see myself carrying this gun into the woods for decades to come, if the durability (of both of us) is there.
I just swapped the 135's nicked factory seal to an intact OEM seal, after a de-burr and a re-lube. I have additional custom parts waiting (thanks, Mikey B. & Steve P.!), but I'm going to stick to my plan and isolate variables between tests, to learn what makes this gun tick and how.

Ilimakko, thanks for the reply.
The 135/125 and similar platforms are indeed a bit much for the .177 calibre. This is one arrangement that may benefit from a slight detune, but they're fun to shoot.
I gave the barrel of the 135 springer a good scrubbing, I'm looking forward to see how it'll do next time I take it shooting. Honestly don't remember the last cleaning of this on, if ever. Accuracy always seemed satisfactory, but pulled lots of lead out.
I used an ARH seal in the 135 Vortex, once I get it sorted out I hope to see how long that one lasts. To my understanding, the OEM seal will make the most power. Mine being a .177, not to concerned with peak power output. You may feel differently with the .25cal,
