That's definitely the lightest I would go, since a 300 grain projectile will be pushed to 860 FPS for 500 FPE. I haven't been able to match that FPE with my cast ammo, but I haven't tried to size it yet.

I don't see why a gun shooting a bullet @ 1000 fps should not be accurate, sometimes we chase higher FPE by shooting heavier bullets way to slow, with a .50 the channel wound is really big around 200gr is still a good weight bullet I would definitely chase fps with those bigger calibers rather then chasing FPE

Just a newbie asking the question.

Like I said, you might be right and those 200 grain slugs could be just fine. Maybe I'll try some lighter off the shelf slugs one of these days. This is why I need an Accurate mold with three different cavities!

Yep you won't know until you test, .457 EPP/UG where very, very accurate out of my 909S at 900+ fpsAlso you can get deep cavity hollowpoints to keep length while being lighter.
I have been bitten by the "Big Bore Bug" as well.I was considering a Sam Yang 909 until I learned of the AEA Challenger. But seriously, do I need to cast pellets / slugs? Why can't I just buy something "quality" in .457
It's best to email Bob right now, you will get a quicker response from him. He is busy getting orders out and is roughly 2 weeks out from shipping. Bin Tac sent him one to test, here is the video.mrhollowpoint@sbcglobal.netmrhollowpoint4life@gmail.com
Just to let everyone know....I haven't changed my mind.. I been working late and it's dark when I get home so I haven't been able to spend any time with the Air Speed that will be sold to fund the Challenger. I want to make sure it's up to snuff before I list it for sale. I just put a 1000w halogen light set together to light up the targets so I should be able to get to the AS very soon.
Back in the day when I used to spend a lot of time Lubing ammo I used Slick50 1 Lube
